A: No to both. There have been many branches of Christianity
that have accused the Catholic church of being iconoclastic (worshipping
icons) but it's just not true. Don't you guys believe in decoration?
As to Mary, we believe she is the mother of God and therefore
deserves to be recognized as such. Catholics
as a whole are in such awe of her amazing faith that she is used
as someone to connect to, a normal girl who was chosen to be
the mother of God. |
A: Yes. The protestants use this term in a very different
way then we do though. We do believe that when you accept Christ
into your heart you will live again, but the Catholics apply
the term "saved by faith through grace" therefore, not faith
alone. We believe that it is possible to lose your salvation
by choice. However, we would like to point out we don't believe
in saved though works. We are the first to admit there is nothing
you can do to 'earn' yourself eternity, but you can't just
sit
around either. |
