Fr. Cliff's Notes:
I am always amazed at how God’s Spirit is alive in this parish community, and how that Spirit leads us. Time and again, God calls us to serve one another, to comfort one another, to support one another and to reach out to one another. And we continually evaluate and pray about how we are serving and how we can better serve our community and those in need.
One of those great areas of need in our community is the ministry of outreach and care. I am very excited to announce that Nancy Anderson, our parish administrative assistant, will be serving our community as the director of outreach ministries. In this position, Nancy will be coordinating the ministry of care to the hospital and to homebound parishioners. She will be working to coordinate the communion to the sick and homebound parishioners, to discern their needs and help us as a parish community to meet those needs. Closely linked with this is the TLC ministry, which she will also guide and support. As we progress in these ministries, we are also looking at developing a bereavement ministry and entering into BeFrienders ministry, which is a ministry of listening and presence. Nancy will also serve to further develop our neighborhood welcoming and outreach. Please keep Nancy in your prayers as she begins this new ministry.
With this change, we will be looking for a new administrative assistant for the parish. This is a full-time position with benefits. We are looking for someone who has a desire to serve and meet the needs of parishioners; who has the ability to work effectively and collaboratively with others; who has strong computer skills, with knowledge of Publisher preferred; who has strong organization skills; and, preferred, who is fluent in English and Spanish.
